Bell-like tones from old handmade Victorian pots and smooth modern ceramics: Terracotta is a uniquely organic tonal-percussion instrument that brings tangible earthiness to cinematic scores and rhythmic compositions. Perfect for adding alive, characterful detail to arpeggios, melodic lines, and atmospheric percussion — whether playing it straight or exploring textural territory with the included creative presets.
The 25 pots are diverse in size and structure; some are old handmade Victorian pieces while others are smooth and modern. The bell-like tone is consistent but there are intricate differences between them that, when combined, create a beautifully diverse instrument. Each pot was sampled with 4 round robins and 4 velocity layers, capturing natural performance variation across the full keyboard.
You can blend in 'mixer' sounds to create new tones — a resonating large ceramic bowl, a music box and a plucked steel string. The 40 included presets range from straightforward percussion to creative textural explorations that push the instrument beyond its acoustic origins.
