This is our Studio License. It’s perfect for studios, businesses, and institutions that want to install our products on shared workstations. It’s available in two variations:
- One Workstation: install the product on a single workstation — anyone at the workstation can use it.
- All Workstations: install and use the product across your entire studio/business.

FrozenPlain Studio License
Version 1
Definitions used in this license
“FrozenPlain” refers to FrozenPlain Ltd., a company registered in England.
“Product” refers to the digital files you obtain from FrozenPlain or its authorised partners after purchasing a Studio License or obtaining a free FrozenPlain product.
“License Holder” refers to the person or legal entity granted rights under this license, which must be know at the time of purchase.
“License Administrator” refers to the person who purchased the license and manages the email account used for the purchase. They must be either the License Holder, an employee of the License Holder, or someone directed by the License Holder to manage the license. The License Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Product is used according to this license.
“Site” refers to a single geographic location under control of the License Holder such as a studio, a business office, or campus.
“Workstation” refers to a distinct physical work location within the Site where a single person at a time can use the Product. This is essentially a “seat” or “position” where work is performed, regardless of the specific hardware used — such as desktop computers, laptop docking stations, or remote access to servers.
License Variations
This Studio License is available in two variations. The variation is chosen at the point of purchase. The License Administrator can check their license information using FrozenPlain’s My Content system.
- One Workstation: Allows installation and use of the Product on a single Workstation.
- All Workstations: Allows installation and use of the Product on all Workstations at a single Site.
Allowed uses
FrozenPlain grants the License Administrator a non-exclusive license to:
- Install the Product on the authorised number of Workstations (either one Workstation or all Workstations at a Site, depending on your license variation).
- Allow anyone to use the Product on the Workstation(s) for creating sound recordings and performances, such as songs, soundtracks, sound effects, interactive media, broadcasts, live music, and audio/video post-production. Users may do so commercially or non-commercially without needing to credit or pay royalties to FrozenPlain. FrozenPlain claims no rights over these new creations.
- Create and retain backups of the Product on devices and storage controlled by the License Holder, as long as access to these backups is restricted to the License Administrator.
- Allow anyone on the Workstations(s) to integrate the Product into their workflow on that Workstation - reorganise files, create custom instruments, and convert formats, provided license information is kept with all copies.
Disallowed uses
This License does not allow the License Administrator or anyone at a Workstation to:
- Share, sell, rent, trade, or distribute the Product, either as a whole or in parts, to another person or entity.
- Create new production tools (such as sample libraries, loop packs, audio plugins, audio file packs, or synths) for distribution to others that incorporate the Product’s files or sounds, whether in original or modified form.
- Remove, alter, or conceal any license or copyright information included in the Product.
Lifetime access
This license continues indefinitely unless the terms are breached or a refund request has been granted. In either case, the License Administrator must delete all copies of the Product from all Workstations and storage locations.
FrozenPlain owns the Product
This Product is owned and copyrighted by FrozenPlain. This license grants the License Holder rights to use the product accord to these terms.
FrozenPlain isn’t liable for damages
While FrozenPlain strives for quality and provides support, we are not liable for any damages arising from software defects or malfunctions.
FrozenPlain won’t fundamentally change these terms
FrozenPlain may modify these terms to fix technical errors (such as spelling, grammar and factual mistakes), resolve contradictions, close unintended loopholes, and improve clarity through better wording, organisation or examples. These changes will only serve to better express and protect the license's existing purpose, not to alter it.
Business changes and license transfer
This license is only transferable in the following circumstances:
- In the event of a merger or acquisition, this license may transfer to the successor entity, provided they agree to be bound by all license terms.
- If the License Holder relocates to a new Site, this license automatically transfers to the new postal address.
- If the License Holder divides or splits into separate entities, this license remains with the entity that retains the original Site.
- This license terminates automatically if the License Holder enters bankruptcy proceedings or dissolves as a legal entity.
Disputes will be resolved in England
These terms and conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from them will be resolved in the English courts.
